About the artist

The Horse Company is a four-piece alternative rockband from the town of Zwolle, The Netherlands, active from 2006 to 2013. They reunited in 2024. Their rootsy, country-tinged style of rock has drawn comparisons to American bands such as Wilco, Drive-By Truckers, Sebadoh, The Replacements, Buffalo Tom, Dinosaur Jr., Centro-Matic, R.E.M. and more. Established in 2006, the group released three full-length albums that made them indie darlings of the Dutch music press: The Horse Company (2007), Olympus (2009) and Calypso (2012).
