About the artist

Hulder is an American black metal project founded in 2018 by Belgian-born musician Marliese Beeuwsaert, who performs under the name Hulder. Originally established in the Pacific Northwest and now based in Washington, the project draws heavily from medieval imagery, Belgian folklore, ancient traditions and the darker aspects of nature and history. Rooted firmly in the traditions of early black metal, Hulder combines raw, frostbitten guitar work, tremolo-picked melodies, forceful drumming, harsh vocals and atmospheric keyboards.
