About the artist

Gaerea is a Portuguese extreme metal band from Porto, formed in 2016. They are known for their atmospheric, emotionally charged take on post-black metal (with roots in traditional black metal), blending raw intensity, melodic leads, post-rock textures, and cinematic atmospheres. The band members perform masked, maintaining an enigmatic and conceptual identity. Gaerea started as a bedroom project and evolved into a full band, quickly rising in the underground with a focus on themes of narcissism
