About the artist

Dermot Henry is an English singer-songwriter making intimate, rustic alternative folk with a sharp eye for storytelling, humour and the everyday. Born in Wiltshire and now based in Bristol, Henry spent a year living in Paris, where he busked and played bars before building an audience through his songs online. His music draws on influences ranging from Adrianne Lenker and Elliott Smith to his parents’ records by The Beatles, Tom Waits and Nina Simone.
