About the artist

There are at least four artists / acts called Ciel or CIEL. 1. CIEL is a post-punk / shoegaze, indie rock trio from Brighton, United Kingdom. It was originally the pseudonym of Dutch-born singer-songwriter Michelle Hindriks, who was active as CIEL in 2016 and 2017, then relocated to the United Kingdom and turned CIEL into a three-piece band. They released a long string of singles and three EPs from 2022 onwards. Their debut full-length, Call Me Silent finally came out in October 2025 on V2 Records.
